Review: Product Quality: The Fit: The Fabric Benchmark Supima or Egyptian Cotton: Look for 100% long-staple cotton. Long-staple fibers mean fewer loose ends in the spinning process, resulting in a t-shirt that is incredibly soft, naturally pill-resistant, and strong enough to hold its shape. Linen & Cotton Blends: For hot climates, a 55% linen and 45% cotton blend is king for casual button-ups. It gives you the breezy, textured aesthetic of linen but with the structure and wrinkle-resistance of cotton. The Weight Rule: Premium tees typically sit in the 180 to 240 GSM (Grams per Square Meter) range. Anything less than 150 GSM feels sheer and cheap; anything over 250 GSM enters heavy, boxy streetwear territory. A mid-weight 200 GSM tee drapes cleanly without clinging. Construction Details to Look For The Bound or Ribbed When y: The easiest way to spot a cheap shirt is a thin, flimsy collar. High-quality tees use a tightly knit ribbed collar (often with a touch of elastane) and feature twin-needle stitching or tape
